Abstract:【Objective】Pomegranate wilt has become increasingly serious in Sichuan province since Sich⁃uan reported the occurrence of Pomegranate wilt in 2009. At the same time, Sweet potato black spot is alsothe serious disease of sweet potato in Sichuan province. To study the cross-pathogenicity of Pomegranatewilt and Sweet potato black spot, which is the same pathogen as Ceratocystis fimbriata, clarify the sourceand transmission route of pomegranate wilt disease in Sichuan.【Methods】From July 2016 to April 2017,C. fimbriata were isolated from pomegranate and sweet potato, inoculating potted pomegranate seedlings, sweet potato seedlings and sweet potato roots respectively with the method of inoculating roots and notdamaging roots.【Results】After 20-40 days of inoculation, the results showed that Pomegranate wilt cannot infect sweet potato, and Sweet potato black spot can not infect pomegranate.【Conclusion】Indicatingthat there is a significant difference in pathogenicity between the two, showing host specificity.
