Qingyancui is a new early- ripening green apple cultivar selected through hybridization of Mingyue × Mato 1. The hybrid seeds were obtained in September 2009. 498 hybrid seeds were sown then 472 hybrid seedlings were obtained in 2010. Through a comprehensive evaluation of the fruit traits of the hybrid trees the 10-1-1 was selected for early maturity, strong disease resistance, and excellent fruit quality. In 2015, more than 50 nursery trees were obtained for field trail. The plant variety right of Qingyancui was authorized in December, 2024 (variety right number: CNA20191006379) by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the PRC. Qingyancui tree had opening posture with grayishgreen branches. The fruits were green with smooth surface and oval shape. The fruit shape index was 0.87, and the average single fruit weight was 165 g. The flesh was yellow-white, crispy, juicy, and full of sourness. The soluble solid content was 15.6%-16.4%. The titratable acid content was 0.82%. The average hardness of the fruit was 6.12 kg·cm-2 . The storage period was half month at room temperature. It had high self-fruitfulness. Qingyancui was very resistant to diseases. The fruit growth period was 110- 120 d. Qingyancui had good compatibility with dwarf interstocks such as CG80 and M26 and standard rootsocks such as Malus robusta, Qin Xing and Qing Zhen. Qingyancui had strong soil adaptability as well.
