Abstract: 【Objective】The effect of garden cloth on the production and management of soft-seed pomegranate garden was discussed.【Methods】Mainly selected several special period in the production andmanagement of soft-seed pomegranate, the period of germination and exhibition in April, the period ofsummer tips and fruit growth is from July to September, the deciduous period in November, the growth season of weeds and the period of a large number of germination of roottillers is May to September, throughthe determination of soil temperature, shoot growth and soil moisture content, and observe the weeding,grubbing tillers effect, influence on Megranate Garden cover ground cloth made contrast research.【Results】After covering the ground cloth, the soil temperature both in the topsoil and in the deep soil layer in⁃creased, and the germination and leaf development of pomegranate trees were 3-5 days earlier. The average growth of pomegranate shoot length and diameter of new shoots was 60% and 70% higher than that ofthe control group, and the ground cloth could indirectly mitigate the adverse effects of high temperatureweather on the growth of new shoots of pomegranate trees. The moisture content of the topsoil and thedeep soil layer increased after ground cloth covering, but the soil moisture content changed little, whilethe water content of deep soil increased obviously. There were no weeds in the tree nutrition belt and theroot of the pomegranate tree has no root tillers. At least 924.5 yuan per 666.7 m2 of labor cost was saved inthe whole year.【Conclusion】Ground cloth can achieve the effect of increasing temperature and moistureconservation, promoting the growth and development of the pomegranate tree, and can effectively inhibitthe growth of weeds and root tillers, which can save a great deal of labor cost.
