Effect of root restriction on transcriptional expression of genes related to anthocyanin biosynthesis in‘Kyoho'grape

【Objective】To investigate the transcriptional regulation of root restriction on anthocyanin biosynthesis in grape berry during development.【Method】‘Kyoho'grape(Vitis vinifera L.×V. labrusca L.)was selected as material to be treated with root restriction. Normal open ground cultivation was set as control. Expression patterns of 15 genes in anthocyanin pathway were thus analyzed.【Results】Expression patterns of PAL,4CL,CHS2,CHS3,CHI,F3H1,F3H2,DFR,LDOX,F3'H,F3'5'H,OMT,3GT,5GT kept an increased trend after veraision and declined near harvest. Root restriction up-regulated the expression of PAL and F3'H in part of stages during development,however the up-regulation of root restriction for 4CL,CHS2,CHS3,CHI,F3H1,F3H2,DFR,LDOX,F3'5'H,OMT,3GT,5GT lasted for the whole sampling stages. Transcriptional expression of CHI showed no obvious change during development and little difference between root restriction and the control.【Conclusion】Root restriction induced the transcriptional expression of 14 genes in anthocyanin biosynthesis pathway in grape.
