【Objective】The aim of this study was to provide a scientific basis for the conservation and utilization of pear resources in Guizhou province.【Method】Genetic diversity and genetic structure of 59 Pyrus pyrifolia germplasm resources distributed in Guizhou province were analyzed by ISSR markers.【Result】155 bands were amplified by 16 informative and reliable primers,of which 126 were polymorphic loci. A relatively high level of genetic diversity was revealed:Ne=1.418 0,H=0.251 1,I=0.381 6(at speciesleve1);Ne=1.300 2,H=0.177 1,I=0.266 7(at population leve1).Pear resource in Qianxinan Prefecture of the province and Bijie Prefecture showed the highest genetic diversity and the closest genetic relationship.【Conclusion】P. pyrifolia resources distributed in Guizhou province had abundant genetic diversity, partly because of geographical isolation and man-made sabotage. The genetic diversity, differentiation and genetic relationship revealed effectively by ISSR markers would provide some valuable references for protection, utilization and variety selection of pear resources in Guizhou province.
