PDF Abstract

‘Jin Shuo'is a new variety of fresh strawberry bred from the offsprings of‘spring star'by Pomology Institute of Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Science. The fruit is conical,uniform,of big size and less deformity with neat and beautiful appearance,red fruit surface.The primary sequence fruit weighs 32.2 g with maximum weight 44.3 g. The average yield is243.7 g per plant.,The flesh is firm,crisp with small pith and white circle outside.The fruit flavor is sweet and sour,with soluble solid content 10.6%,total sugar 7.20%,total acid 0.95%,sugar acid ratio 7.57∶1.The variety has strong vigor,high propagation coefficient,high yielding and strong ability to resist diseases and pests. With the excellent and stable comprehensive properties,it has been proved suitable for developing in strawberry planting area of Shanxi Province.
