【Objective】The research aimed at laying the foundation for exploring the mechanism of texturechanges of‘Korla fragrant pear'during the fruit development.【Methods】Regular tests were carried out onthe contents of cell wall and its components, the activity of pectinase,cellulase,β-glucosidase and oth-er indexes during the fruit development.【Results】The result showed that: the contents of cell wall,cellu-lose and hemicellulose increased at the stage of young fruit, decreased at the stage of rapid growth andkept stable at the stage of maturity;with the maturity of fruit, the contents of water soluble and ionic pec-tin showed an increasing trend while the contents of covalent pectin displayed a decreasing trend;the ac-tivity of hydrolase showed a rising trend, conforming to the change rule of related cell wall components.【Conclusion】Affected by the functions of hydrolase in cell wall, the cell wall contents and componentschanged with the growth and development of‘Korla fragrant pear'.
