Qianghui No.2, a new gray jujube variety, was discovered in 2009 in Ruoqiang County, Henan Province as a naturally mutated bud variety of gray jujube introduced from Xinzheng. This variety has the advantages of large fruit size and high fruit setting rate. Good yield, can bear fruit in the same year of grafting. Entering the peak fruiting period in 34 years. The phenological period of this variety is budding in mid April, flowering in mid May, peak flowering in early June, fruiting in early June, and maturity in early October. In 2015, it was recognized by the Autonomous Region Forest Variety Approval Committee as New R-SV-ZJ-004-2015 and officially named Qianghui No.2. In 2020, it was approved by the Autonomous Region Forest Variety Approval Committee as New S-SV-ZJ-002-2020. It belongs to the diurnal type. Qianghui No. 2 fruit is nearly circular, with a vertical diameter of 4.2 cm and a horizontal diameter of 3.3 cm. The average weight of a fresh fruit is 15.3 g. The top of the fruit is wide and round, with small stem depressions and moderate depth. The skin is reddish brown, and the fruit dots are small and not obvious. The flesh is thick, green and white, slightly dense in texture, sweet in taste. After drying, the flesh is dense, fragrant, elastic, and easy to recover under pressure. It is durable for storage and transportation. The drying rate is 61.4%, and the edible rate is 95.7%. The nucleus is spindle shaped, with a shallow nuclear pattern and no seed kernel. Qianghui No. 2 has a strong tree vigor, mainly bearing fruit from the biennial jujube head branches. It has an early fruiting age, entering the economic fruiting period in 3 years and the full fruiting period in 5 years. It has a high and stable yield. The fruit is evenly distributed, with good neatness, dense flesh, sweet taste, high drying rate, and excellent quality, making it an excellent variety for both drying and processing purposes. Qianghui 2 variety has strong adaptability, drought resistance, strong resistance, robust tree body, and is easy to manage.In Ruoqiang, Xinjiang, sprouting occurs in mid April, flowering begins in mid May, and peak flowering occurs in early June.
