Abstract:‘Tiangong Cuiyu’is a new European-American hybrid grape cultivar which was obtained through crossing between‘Zao Tian’and‘Red Fuji’at the vineyard in Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2009. It was selected in 2013 for big berry, much juice, strawberry flavor fruit and storage stability. From 2014, it was evaluated again and selected as the final line. After several years of observation, it was finally released as‘Tiangong Cuiyu’in 2018. The shoot tip is half open with medium hair. The color of dorsal side of internodes is green with red strips, while the color of ventral side of internodes is green. The upper surface of a young leaf is green color with weak reddish spots. The shape of the mature leaves is subcircular. The petiole sinus is wide open and U shaped. The edge of leaves are long with both straight sides. Upper lateral sinus is overlapped, while lower lateral sinus is open. The upper surface is green. Anthocyanin coloration of main veins on lower leaf surface is weak. First inflorescence usually is born in third node. The fruit ripens at early of August in northern area of Zhejiang. Its fruit clusters are large and cone with the average weight of 371.8 g. The cluster density is medium compact. The berries are elliptic with average mass 8.3 g and green- yellow in color. The flesh is soft and much juice with strawberry flavor. The fruit quality is very good with soluble solids content 20.5%, acid content 0.30% and vitamin C content 54.1 mg·kg-1 . The vines have vigorous growth with good adaptability to environment and high disease resistance and resistance to storage. It is easy to be cultivated.
