Studies on the characteristics and genetic tendency of the stone cell in hybrid offspring of 'Kuerlexiangli' pear

Abstract:【Objective】In this paper, the fruit of hybrid offspring of'Kuerlexiangli'pear as a female parent was used as sample material.The changes of the fruit stone cell content, size and density were studied, and the genetic expression of fruit stone cells was explored, which could provide reference for the selective breeding of hybrid parents of pears.【Methods】The characteristics and genetic tendency of the stone cells in hybrid progenies of'Kuerlexiangli'pear were studied by freezing and anatomical method.【Results】The content of the stone cells in hybrid progenies of'Kuerlexiangli'pear varied significantly from 0.65 to 1.76 g· 100 g-1, of which 50.49% was more than 0.25 mm (g· 100 g-1) .The diameter of the stone cell group of pear hybrid progeny was 269.99 μm.The diameter of the stone cells varied with different parts.The diameters of stone cells near the pericarp and the core were as follows:the diameter of stone cells at stem cavity end was larger than that at the base of fruit, and the diameter of stone cells at the base was larger than that at the eye basin end.The stem cavity end, eye basin end and base from near fruit core to near pericarp showed that the diameter of stone cells near fruit core was larger than that in flesh, and larger than that in near pericarp.The average density of the stone cell group in hybrid progenies was 18.18 per field of vision, and the density of the stone cell group near pericarp > the density of the stone cell group near core > the density of the stone cell group in fruit base.The content, size and density of stone cells in the progeny of'Kuerlexiangli'pear were continuously distributed, which was inherited by means of quantity, showing an increasing trend, but the density of the stone cells was a combination of small variation.The coefficient of variation of the stone cell contents in hybrid progeny of pear was between 23.90% and 47.69%, and the heritability was higher than150%.The heritability of the stone cell size was 142.16%.The heritability of the combination of the stone cell density of the progeny was 109.94%, and the heritability of the small combination was79.98%.【Conclusion】The stone cell traits of'Kuerlexiangli'pear were significantly different.The content of stone cells was more, and the size and density of stone cells were different in different parts, and the genetic transformation was quantitatively inherited, showing an increasing trend.
