A new seedless table grape cultivar 'Tiangong Feicui'

Abstract: Tiangong Feicui'is a new European-American hybrid seedless grape cultivar which was ob-tained through crossing between'Gold Finger' (diploid) and'Yinhong' (tetraploid) at the vineyard inZhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2008. It was selected in 2011 for it's crisp flesh and seed-less fruit. From 2012, it was evaluated again and selected as the final line. After several years of observa-tion, it was finally released as'Tiangong Feicui'in 2017. The shoot tip is half open with dense hair. Thecolor of dorsal side of internodes is green with red strips, while the color of ventral side of internodes isgreen. The upper surface of a young leaf is green color with reddish spots. The shape of the matureleaves is subcircular. The petiole sinus is semi-wide open and U shaped. The teeth are long with bothconvex and straight sides. Upper lateral sinus is overlapped or open, while lower lateral sinus is open.The upper surface is green with glossy appearance. Anthocyanin coloration of main veins on lower leafsurface is absent. First inflorescence usually is born in third node, second in fourth. The fruit ripens atthe end of July in northern Zhejiang area. Its fruit clusters are large and cylindrical with the averageweight of 496.1 g. The cluster density is compact. The berries are elliptic with average mass 5.2 g andgreen-yellow with pink in color. The flesh is crisp with slight hami melon flavor. The fruit quality is verygood with soluble solids content is 18.5%, acid content is 0.40% and vitamin C content is 71.4 mg · kg-1.Very few berries have remaining seeds. The vines have vigorous growth with high disease resistance.
