A new muskmelon cultivar——‘Wangluo No.2'

‘Wangluo No. 2'was selected from‘B32'בB61',and is a new mid-late melon variety. The fruit shape is round.Its fruit peel is dark green with light green-white network. The average fruit weight is about 1.8-2.1 kg. The crisp green flesh is about 4.3-4.6 cm thick,and soluble solid content of central flesh is 14.5%-15.6%. The whole fruit period is 110-120 days,and the fruit development period is 40-45 days. The commodity rate is above 95 percent. In addition,it has good transportation,good fruit setting and small fruit cavity characters. It is suitable to cultivate in east of China in plastic shed,greenhouse or plastic tunnel,and in open fields in west dry areas. It was appraised by official of national board in November 2012.
