早熟板栗新品种早栗5号的选育

摘 要早栗5号为实生选育早熟新品种,母株位于北京市昌平区长陵镇南庄村,树龄100年生。坚果红褐色,果面光滑美观,有光泽;内果皮易剥离,果肉黄色,细腻香甜,水分含量(w,后同)54.6%,总糖含量21.37%(干质量)。成熟期8月25日,坚果发育期75 d左右,同一条件下比燕山早丰早7 d左右。每结果母枝平均抽生结果枝数2.1条,每结果枝平均着生刺苞1.9个,每苞平均坚果数2.1粒,平均单粒质量8.1 g,出实率46.2%,空蓬率1.4%。与板栗实生砧嫁接亲和力强,幼树早果性强,丰产,经济性状优良,表现稳定,为坚果极早熟、优质、耐贮的板栗优良品系。

板栗是我国主要的经济林树种之一,不仅品质优良居食用栗之冠,而且抗逆性在栗属植物中也是首屈一指,通过长期的栽培选择,形成了许多生态类型和地方品种[1],商业化栽培品种成熟期在8月至10月间,因品种、地区和海拔等条件而异。南方早熟北方晚,北方地区大部分品种在9月中下旬成熟[2-3],成熟期集中,成为影响生产和消费市场发展的瓶颈之一。近些年,早熟资源被迅速挖掘,育成了一系列早熟品种[4-8]。早栗5号母株位于北京市昌平区长陵镇南庄村,通过实生选育成为北方地区早熟板栗新品种,8月25日栗苞开裂成熟,且具有与板栗实生砧嫁接亲和力强、丰产、耐贮运、商品性好等优良经济性状。

1 选育过程

早栗5号(图1)母株于2001年在北京市昌平区长陵镇南庄村山地种植的板栗实生树中被发现,8月下旬栗苞开裂采收,由于其具有坚果早熟特异性状而初选为优株。2003—2013 年,连续选用4~5 年实生幼树无性嫁接繁殖,扩繁该品种进行对比试验。待嫁接树全部达产稳定后,2016—2019 年连续对嫁接树生长习性、果实品质、丰产性、坚果极早熟特性、遗传稳定性、适应性、抗逆性等方面进行观察与研究,结果证明该品种坚果极早熟性状遗传稳定,后代与母株表现一致,一般年份果实于8 月25 日成熟,同一条件下比燕山早丰早7 d左右,比燕红早20 d左右,为国内北方地区优良的早熟炒食型板栗新品种。2022 年12 月国家林业和草原局审查授予植物新品种保护权(品种权号:20220595)。

2 主要特性

2.1 植物学特征

落叶乔木,树势中庸,树姿半直立。树皮灰褐色,有深纵裂。1 年生新梢灰绿色,茸毛极少,皮孔椭圆形,灰白色,小而密。混合芽扁圆形,中大,褐色。叶片椭圆形,基部楔形或广楔形,先端渐尖,叶长16.26 cm,宽7.4 cm;叶色绿且质较厚,正面光亮,背面无茸毛,较平展,叶姿下垂;叶缘锯齿外向;叶柄黄绿色,平均长度1.41 cm。果枝平均着生雄花序6.57个,雄花序平均长度8.1 cm;果枝平均着生刺苞1.9个,混合花序着生均匀。果前梢平均长6.7 cm,平均生芽5.4个。刺苞椭圆形,长6.32 cm,宽4.89 cm,高4.65 cm;刺束中密,长1.3 cm。坚果椭圆形,深红褐色,有光泽;底座中等,接线月牙形,边果底座宽1.21 cm,外侧面弧长3.47 cm。

2.2 物候期

北京地区4月17日萌芽,4月下旬至5月上旬展叶,雄花初期6月4日,6月9日盛花期,8月25日左右果实成熟,11月上旬落叶。一般年份8月25日栗苞开裂,9月5日采收完毕,果实发育期75 d左右(表1)。

2.3 主要经济性状

结果母枝平均抽生结果枝2.1条,每结果枝平均着生刺苞1.9 个,平均每苞坚果数2.1 个,出实率46.2%,空蓬率1.4%。坚果整齐,平均单粒质量8.1 g,果肉含水量54.6%,总糖含量21.37%(干质量),淀粉含量38.2%;内果皮易剥离,果肉黄白色,质地细糯,风味香甜,耐贮运。幼树生长健壮,早果性强,适应性强,表现为耐旱、耐瘠薄、抗寒,在缓坡和沟谷地带更能表现出该品种优良特性。

3 栽培技术要点

该品种适宜在北方板栗栽培区土层深厚、土质疏松、透气性能佳、排水良好、pH 5.5~6.5 的片麻岩沟谷、山前平地及河滩地等地块种植,株行距3 m×(4~5)m,每666.7 m2可栽植44~55 株。树形宜选用多主枝自然开心形,主干高50~60 cm,保留主枝3~4个,交错排列,分布均匀、互不交叉,主枝开张角度60°左右,在主侧枝上培养结果枝组,树冠高度控制在2.5 m左右。冬季修剪利用结果母枝轮替更新修剪,做到前后有枝,内外结果;根据树势和立地条件调整结果母枝数量,每平方米树冠投影面积保留结果母枝8~12个。果实采收后施入基肥,根据栗园土壤肥力,每666.7 m2施有机肥500~1000 kg,可混入少量复合肥,7 月下旬果实膨大期可视土壤及树体营养状况追施富钾复合肥1 次;施肥深度应在20~40 cm,范围在树冠垂直投影下边缘。病虫害主要防治红蜘蛛、桃蛀螟等,根据发生规律、危害程度以生物防治和物理防治为主。

4 综合评价

早栗5号树势中庸,树姿半直立;北方地区成熟期早,优质丰产,且连续结果能力强;坚果深红褐色,品质优良;抗旱性强,耐瘠薄;适宜在与北京板栗产区气候条件和土壤条件相似的区域种植。

Breeding report of a new early-ripening variety of Chinese chestnut Zaoli 5

Abstract: Zaoli 5 is a new early-ripening chestnut (Castanea Mollissima ) variety selected through occational seedling selection in Changping area which belongs to Yanshan Mount. The mother plant was 100 years old and found on the hillside in 2001 because of the characteristics of early maturity and high quality.The field trials were arranged from 2003 to 2013 using top-grafting trees on 4-5 years old seedlings, the evaluation growing and fruiting characters was carried out from 2016 to 2019 using the local main cultivar Yanshanzaofeng as control. The tree had a moderate posture and semi-straight branches.The annual branches with little hair were grayish green in color,the bark was taupe with deep longitudinal cracking and dense lenticels. The leaves were ellipse withserrate, spreading, and gradually acute apex.The mixed bur was ellipse,brown and medium large-sized.The average length of catkin was 8.1 cm and the numbers of catkin on each biennial bearing branch was 6.57. The length of current shoot in front of the fruit branch was 6.7 cm.The tree had many big buds with ease to form female flowers.The average weight of the bur was 55 g and the shape was ellipse,the density was intermediate.The average length of spine bundle was 1.3 cm. Each bur contained 2.1 nuts, with a seed yield of 46.25%.The nuts were reddish brown and glossy,the average weight of the nuts was 8.1 g.The stripes on the nut was not obvious, and tghe size of hilum was intermediate. The kernel was faint yellow in color, fine- textured and smoothy.The tegmen was easy to peel.The shoot in front of the fruit branch was long.The soluble sugar content was 21.37%, the starch content was 38.2%, the crude protein content was 4.7%, and the crude fat content was 1.0%.The buds sprouted at the mid of April,the leaves expanded in late April,the tree entered full flowering period in mid June.The nuts ripened in about August 25 in Beijing area,and the fruit development period was only 75 days, 7 days less than that of the check cultivar Yanshanzaofen’with the same cultivation management. The trees could bear nuts in second year after top-grafting.It had strong resistance to diseases and was suitable for cultivation in the Yanshan mountain area.
